DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle)

Description

With the  Scooter / DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) Specialty Increase your distance and underwater fun. The scooter allows you to save air and go faster from one point to another. Diving with the scooter is like taking a nice ride on a scooter instead of walking.

You will practice various maneuvers and learn how to avoid problems such as ascending/descending too fast, engine tangling, losing your partner and running out of batteries. You will also gain knowledge of how to maintain the Scooter / DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) correctly, for increased longevity and performance.

To obtain this certification you must be at least 12 years old and have the (Junior) Open Water Diver level.

Students under the age of 15 who choose SSI will be certified Junior Diver in the specific DPV Specialty , and can dive under the direct supervision of a professional, or accompanied by a certified adult within the recommended depth limits.
