Description
With the Extended Range Nitrox course, you will be able to independently plan and conduct decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters using decompression gas mixes with up to 100% oxygen for a maximum cumulative decompression time of 15 minutes.

The SSI Extended Range Nitrox course provides an in-depth introduction to the concepts, techniques and procedures required when planning decompression dives. The course takes place at a maximum depth of 40 meters using either a double tank or sidemount configuration as the total diving system.
The total time of all decompression stops during any dive must not exceed 15 minutes.
Extended Range Nitrox Diving students may credit dives in this program to Open Water Training Dives 1 through 4 of the Extended Range program.
Requirements
Have logged a minimum of 24 dives in total
To obtain the certification you need to have the Deep Diver and the Enriched Air Nitrox 40 certifications or equivalent issued by a recognized training agency.
For students who adopt a Sidemount configuration (in addition to what is required above) you need to have the Recreational Sidemount Diving SSI certification, or equivalent.
